Although I don't have any of my own I've always found the artwork of tattoos to be fascinating. Here's a few of the more interesting & cool tats I've found in my search across the web.
Wicked Little Invader Zim Tattoo
Super cool and totally awesome, Invader ZIM
was one of the funnest shows Nickelodeon ever put out. I'm so glad to see fans keeping his memory alive through their body art.
The Wonderful World of Disney Tattoos
As I've mentioned before, I don't have any tattoos of my own, mainly because I could never think of any one thing that I liked enough to have put permanently on my body. However, if I did have to chose something, I'm pretty sure that it would have been something Disney. Of course with so many characters and icons to choose from, I still don't think I could narrow things down to one choice. And while a quick search of the internet will come up with thousands of possible designs, how do you choose just one? So for now, I guess I'm resigned to simply admiring the artwork with which other people have chosen to adorn their bodies. Here's a quick video of some of the more awesome ones I've found, and who knows...maybe someday I will come across the perfect tat for me.
Tattoo Regrets - 3 More Types of Tattoos You Must Avoid!
Tattoo Regrets - 3 More Types of Tattoos You Must Avoid!
By Matthew W. Lee
Tattoos are marvelous and unique forms of art expressing important meanings to you. However, the meaning can be lost if you end up disliking or regretting the tattoo. This is the case for many tattoo enthusiasts who jumps into one without putting in much thought. More than likely, they will experience all kinds of tattoo regrets such as bad quality tattoos, tattooing too young, or choosing a bad location on their body for a tattoo. But these examples and many others can be prevented if you slow down and think, hence the saying, "Think before you ink." While you put that quote into action, make sure you steer clear from the following three situations to avoid any possible tattoo regrets.
1. Winging a tattoo.
Winging a tattoo is similar to getting a tattoo on an impulse. The action of winging a tattoo is when you request a piece without bringing along a reference picture. That means the interpretation of the design is based solely on the artist's discretion. When the tattoo is completed, it will have little or no significance to you. Additionally, when there is no reference picture to base your design on, some artists like to freehand the tattoo without the use of a stencil. This can lead to a disastrous outcome because the outline is the most important part of a tattoo. If the outline is slightly off, the tattoo will appear distorted and there is little the artist can do to remedy the situation. Therefore, you must be prepared with a design in hand and artist chosen in advance.
2. Tattoos done on a dare
This regret should be obvious but regardless of how simple this concept is, it is still constantly reoccurring. Tattoos require a lot of thought as well as money. In fact, some people spend years to decide on the right tattoo. If you get pressured by your peers to get one, it will become the biggest regret of your lifetime. Never let anyone force you into getting something you are not ready for. Tattoos are permanent and can affect you greatly later on in life.
3. Cartoons or video-game characters
Although I can't speak for everyone on this subject, but a cartoon character tattoo is the worse type of tattoo you can get by far. The only positive outcome from these tattoos is if it symbolized your childhood memories in relation to the character. However, there are more negative consequences than positive which means there will be a high chance of tattoo regrets waiting to happen. Cartoons are usually associated with children and teenagers so you will be perceived as childish by the public. Also while you age and mature, cartoon characters will become less appealing to you and having one on your body will be extremely distasteful to you.

Tattoo Regrets - Top 3 Most Common Tattoo Regrets You Need To Know
By Matthew W. Lee
Along with an inexperienced tattoo artist, tattoo regrets are one of the most common complaints related to tattoos. Everybody tends to make many rash decisions every now and then; hence the famous quote, "you learn from your mistakes." But what if your mistake follows you wherever you go and haunts you for the rest of your life? Wouldn't you want to learn about a mistake in advance so you can avoid a future regret? If you are a tattoo beginner then you must know what types of tattoo to avoid. Failure to do so can lead to tattoo regrets you must live with for the rest of your life unless you are willing to spend thousands for a tattoo removal treatment. Below are the three most common tattoo regrets that people fall victim to.
1. The name of your current partner or lover
This is one of the most common mistakes made by young adults. They are young, foolish, and their actions are always driven by love. When either person suggests having their name tattooed on each other, they would immediately do so. It is always seemingly cute and romantic at first. But what happens if the relationship goes awry and they never want to see each other again? The name of the ex-lover will still be etched on their body. Every time they get dressed or shower, the name will appear and memories of the past will be brought up. Imagine how awkward it would be when their next companion sees that name.
This is the most important tattoo regret you need to avoid. You should always think twice before getting a tattoo of a name unless your next partner happens to have the same name. Keep in mind that a tattoo will always last longer than a relationship, even if you are married.
2. Tattoos while in prison
If you're reading this article, there is a high chance that you are not incarcerated at this very moment. Hopefully you won't enter the penitentiary ever in your lifetime either. However, prisoners who received tattoos while locked up makes up a large portion of those who regret their tattoos. That is because inmates are tattooed from head to toe; literally! Prisoners tattoo their head and face more than any other groups in the world. Tattoos are believed to be a symbol of status while in jail. It also displays power because tattoos identify prisoners with specific groups or gangs. But when they are released back into society, the tattoos become a symbol of regret for many reasons. It will be harder to turn a new leaf because it will difficult to adapt with excessive tattoos. Also the tattoos will serve as a reminder of their rough life behind bars.
3. Tattooing while drunk
Choosing to get tattooed while drunk is extremely risky because the outcome of the tattoo is based on chance. There are incidents where tattoos completed were better than expected but there are also horror stories of the exact opposite. To avoid this common tattoo regret, do not consume alcohol before a tattoo session for two reasons. The first and more obvious reason is because high levels of alcohol in your system inhibit your brain to make rational decisions. You might want a dragon tattooed on your back but inadvertently request a pink bunny on your neck. Secondly, alcohol thins out your blood which will lead to profuse bleeding once the tattooing commences. For this reason, most tattoo shops refuse to tattoo drunks anyways. But for your safety and to avoid possible tattoo regrets, make sure your system is free of alcohol for at least 24 hours before your tattoo session.

Flower Tattoos & Their Meanings
These days, there are more and more women getting tattoos. Because of this increase, flower designs continue to rise in popularity. One of the best things about flower tattoos is the fact that there are so many different colors and types of flowers – all with many different meanings as well. The flowers can mean so many different things, although specific types of flowers such as roses and Lillies may have a more specific meaning.
Overall, flower tattoos have a connection with nature, conjuring up thoughts and images of life and vitality. Whenever we look at a flower, we see the duration of life, mainly because flowers connect with us in the sense that we both grow. Flowers emerge from the earth and continue to grow on a daily basis. Then, the flowers bloom, knowing that they will later dry up and start to wilt away.
Having a tattoo of a flower brings to mind the entire process known as life. Keep in mind however, that different colors and flowers on tattoos will symbolize other things as well. White flower tattoos symbolize purity, while red flower tattoos can symbolize a burning passion. There countless colors and designs available, giving plenty of meanings for those looking to get flower tattoos.
Roses are the most common flower design for tattoos, symbolizing love. During the turn of the 16th century, roses were tattooed on those who were sentenced to death, the idea being that if the condemned were to escape from the gallows, the rose tattoo would serve as a symbol to easily recognize them. These days, roses symbolize both love and passion. Roses have long been known as a romantic flower, popular for special occasions with the ones we love.
While in the western regions the rose is a symbol of love and purity, in the Eastern regions, love and purity are symbolized by a lotus flower. Tattoos that feature lotus flowers also bring a little more meaning to the table since lotus tattoos are also known to symbolize fortune, peace, beauty, and goodness. Even though roses are the most popular tattoos in North America, Lotus flower tattoos are more common in other regions.
Other examples include the acacia flower tattoo which is the symbol for love and friendship. There are some people with Irish heritage who choose to get tattoos with the flower known as the Bells of Ireland. This flower is well known throughout Ireland, with the tattoo symbolizing good luck. Irish who have this tattoo are known to be lucky, or have an insane trend with luck.
For those who think of themselves as being the perfect lover, a tulip tattooed may be the perfect choice. Tattoos of tulips represent passionate love and fame for being a great lover. If, however, you happen to be shy and timid, you may want to go with a violet flower tattoo instead. Violets are common tattoos for those who are shy, timid, and enjoy taking things slow. Those wanting to symbolize wisdom and virtue on the other hand, would be well to get an Iris. Magnolias are also common flower tattoos, as they symbolize an individual’s love for nature.
Flower tattoos are very common and popular designs these days, with plenty of meaning behind their beauty. The flowers can be large or small and as bold as you want them to be. No matter which flower you have decided to use for your tattoo, you can ensure that the flower will give the meaning you are looking to convey.
